It breaks my heart to write this, but Kristy was so f’n cool, she was hit head on by a Sheriff’s Deputy yesterday while training and she didn’t make it.  It absolutely breaks my heart.  Kristy Gough was beyond cool, a pro and top finishing Ironman triathlete, and although she had tons of talent, she worked her ass off too – and she was fun. 

And all I can think is why did this happen this makes no sense.  I think I miss Kristy already. 

Matt Peterson from the Roaring Mouse team was also struck and killed by the same car, and although I did not know him, I feel great sympathy for his friends and family.
