Found this sweet little letter from my 11-year-old Redlands host sister in my in-box tonight:

“how was the drive home? r u glad to sleep in your own bed? it feels really wierd not having bags in my room or even you guys i started missing u and taitt like 5 min. after u left the fire station we all miss u soooo much!!! hopefully u guys can make a request on host housing and we can see u next year i miss u all soooooooo much already it won’t be the same i miss u guys sooooooo much it is insain!!!!!! we need to get together sometime maybe i will talk to u latermiss you!!!

Other highlights of the race include:

1. Second place in the sprinter’s competition.
2. Awesome teamwork in the Sunset course today.
3. Big family/team/friends dinner on Saturday that had great food and lots of positive energy.
