This Is How The Weekend Went
Life, Oregon May 3rd, 2007My Dad and I go riding together. He is in training for Cycle Oregon next summer!
The left picture is climbing up Sterling Creek and the right picture is the Applegate River Valley facing South. These hills are actually the Southern Oregon-Northern California boarder.
These are the really happy Oregonian cows that contribute the Horizon Organic Dairy. Based on my observations, I am pretty impressed with their treatment and happiness levels so I encourage everyone to support this dairy.
Then there was Lola . . .

I love Lola! She looks like one darn happy dog.

L - she is really happy but it has taken alot of work. We got her two years ago from the humane society and she had been abused her entire life. At that point, she was timid and scared, very nervous. It was the saddest thing to watch someone raise their hand to pet her only to have her hunch down like she was about to be hit. Really, it just broke my heart. My mom has really done a great job of spoiling her. We would never actually support the breeding of bull dogs because htey have so many health complications, but we are lucky we ended up with her.

I’m glad your dad is still riding and enjoying that great bike!
Wait, there’s a dog butt in the second photo — there’s a dog that isn’t Lola?

Yes, there is a dog other than Lola. His name is Charlie and he is a 14 year old Giant Poodle. His original parents are sick of him, so we take care of him about 29 days of a month, then he goes home for a day or two, then comes back. He is both deaf and blind unfortunately, but very sweet and best friends with Lola.
